DESCRIPTION:Dorothy Savarese is President of the Board of the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative and the former CEO and Executive Chair of Cape Cod 5\, a community bank which she led for nearly 20 years. Savarese formalized the integration of environmental stewardship into the “5 Ways” the Bank serves the community and expanded it to include mitigation of and adaptation to climate change. She extends her commitment to combating climate change and building resiliency to her volunteer and community activities\, in addition to her service to the Climate Collaborative. Savarese served on the Climate Readiness\, Resiliency and Adaptation transition policy committee for Governor-Elect Maura Healey and the Clean Heat Commission for the Baker administration. Savarese has also been recognized for her efforts in the banking industry\, being named to the list of 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking by American Banker Magazine for 11 consecutive years\, was the chair of both the American Bankers Association and the Massachusetts Bankers Association and has been named to committees advising the Federal Reserve Board of Governors\, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston\, and the FDIC. She is the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Suffolk University and recently joined the Board of Trustees. In addition\, she has served on a number of local boards serving the region and has received numerous awards and recognitions. \nMindy Todd is Managing Director of Editorial at CAI and host and producer of The Point\, which examines critical issues for Cape Cod and the Islands. Her 30+ year career has covered nearly all aspects of broadcasting. Todd has received numerous awards\, most recently her 5th National PRNDI (Public Radio News Directors Incorporated) award for best Call-in program and best Interview.

JOAN BAEZ: I AM A NOISE is an unusually intimate psychological portrait of legendary folk singer and activist Joan Baez. Neither a conventional biopic nor a traditional concert film\, this immersive documentary shifts back and forth through time as it follows Joan on her final tour and delves into her extraordinary archive\, including newly discovered home movies\, diaries\, artwork\, therapy tapes\, and audio recordings. \nFeature documentary by Karen O’Connor\, Miri Navasky & Maeve O’Boyle\, US\, 2023\, 113 mins. \nThe screening begins at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $16 and $12 for WHFF members\, student/military $10.
