DESCRIPTION:The Woods Hole Film Festival is pleased to announce a bonus second screening of the new documentary film JOAN BAEZ: I AM A NOISE on Saturday\, November 18 at 7 pm at Redfield Auditorium\, 45 Water Street\, Woods Hole. The first screening sold out well in advance\, so we’re showing it again! 🙂 \nABOUT THE FILM\nFacing the end of a 60-year musical career\, legendary singer and activist Joan Baez takes an honest look back and a deep look inward as she tries to make sense of her large history-making life and reveals\, for the first time\, personal struggles she’s kept private\, until now. JOAN BAEZ: I AM A NOISE is an unusually intimate psychological portrait of legendary folk singer and activist Joan Baez. Neither a conventional biopic nor a traditional concert film\, this immersive documentary shifts back and forth through time as it follows Joan on her final tour and delves into her extraordinary archive\, including newly discovered home movies\, diaries\, artwork\, therapy tapes\, and audio recordings. \nFeature documentary by Karen O’Connor\, Miri Navasky & Maeve O’Boyle\, US\, 2023\, 113 mins. \nThe screening begins at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $16 and $12 for WHFF members\, student/military $10. Tickets are on sale in advance via at woodsholefilmfestival.org and at the door. \nDINNER: Before the film\, patrons may receive a 10% discount on the meal portion of dinner at the Captain Kidd Restaurant & Bar\, 77 Water Street\, Woods Hole.
