The Landfall

What could beat dangling your feet into the Gulf-stream water after a delicious seafood dinner? Probably not too much – the Landfall Restaurant sits right over the water and serves great fresh and local food from one of the best waterfront locations on Cape Cod. From lobster, swordfish, clams, scallops to juciy sirloin and many other choices – the Landfall serves it all.  This classic New England fare is great for all ages and tastes. Under the Sun

Growing up near Woods Hole, I’ve shopped at Under the Sun many times, hunting through the cool collection of earrings or admiring the hand-made lamp shades and other local crafts.  But it wasn’t until I met owner Joyce Stratton and her partner Peggy Cunningham that I realized all the history I was missing about this lovely little shop in the middle of the village. For kids, Stoney beach is exceptional for it’s lack of rocks and waves. Kids also love the jetty. I frequently babysit a few kids at Stoney Beach and their favorite activity is to clamber down to the end of the jetty and catch fish and crabs in their buckets. It’s great to see the camaraderie of kids as they slowly […]
