Calcutta Fishing Derby

The 2013 Calcutta Fishing Derby has come to a close, and the winners were announced last night at a party at the Landfall Restaurant.  Fishermen and women from all over Falmouth and Woods Hole gathered to share the delicious bounty including fried bluefish and striped bass bites with cajun dipping sauce, baked striped bass, roasted bluefish with mayonnaise, homemade clam chowder, several salads and cole slaw. Cool in Woods Hole

Woods Hole is the perfect spot to beat the heat of the dog days of summer. Nestled on a peninsular between Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound there always seems to be a nice sea breeze.
