On Saturday, August 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the nonprofit organizations of Woods Hole have joined together to present a free public day of interactive science along Water Street. Explore science on the streets of Woods Hole and an get up close view of a working research vessel and a Coast Guard rescue boat. Fourth of July Cape Cod style in Woods Hole

Calcutta Fishing Derby

The 2013 Calcutta Fishing Derby has come to a close, and the winners were announced last night at a party at the Landfall Restaurant.  Fishermen and women from all over Falmouth and Woods Hole gathered to share the delicious bounty including fried bluefish and striped bass bites with cajun dipping sauce, baked striped bass, roasted bluefish with mayonnaise, homemade clam chowder, several salads and cole slaw. OceanQuest

Woods Hole is home to some of the largest scientific organizations in the world – so who wouldn’t want to experience a little bit of science while visiting? One of the best ways to discover the environment around Woods Hole is aboard OceanQuest.
