Shuckers of Woods Hole

Last Tuesday evening my husband Bill and I went to Woods Hole for a fine meal of New England seafood, at one of our favorite restaurants. Shuckers is one of those cozy places that we all enjoy discovering while on vacation. It is tucked away at 91A Water Street, down a cobblestone alleyway, in the heart of Woods Hole Village. “A small fishing village off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard”

That was how Woods Hole was described by a national news reporter after a small plane crash brought reporters flocking to Woods Hole in 1999. We have to commend the technical accuracy.  Amidst the chaos, Woods Hole has retained its small village appeal and fishing is still part of the daily scene. The Knob
